DeVAUGHN PETTIT
National Timber, Inc., President and Founder DeVaughn Pettit earned his degree in Forestry Tech in Savannah, Georgia, and learned all aspects of the industry from timber purchase and land management to tree planting and more, while working for Bowater Paper Corporation in Tennessee.
He opened and operated his own high-production logging operation in 1991, which he managed for 21 years. Currently, six core logging companies harvest timber exclusively for National Timber, allowing the company to focus on key aspects of timber harvesting and marketing.
DeVaughn is a member of the Georgia Forestry Association, Southeast Wood Producers, and the American Forestry Council, and has been a member of the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce for more than 25 years.
